Sunni is the showroom gal - you'll find her meeting with clients, coordinating projects, and staying current on flooring trends and new products.
With a Bachelor's degree in communications and psychology, combined with her years in the flooring industry since the start of the family business in 2006, Sunni enjoys overseeing all aspects of the business including managing the crews and staff, marketing and sales.

Meet Destini Petty
about us
Des is the master installer - you'll find her working in customer homes taking measurements, going over selections and installing floors.
During her third year at Texas A&M, Des's dad asked her the question she had been waiting to hear since she was a kid - if she was ready to come work for the family business! She's been strengthening her skills with hands-on experience ever since!

The Petty Family Floors Legacy

1970's
Sunni & Destini's grandfather William Petty founded Petty General Construction, employing his immediate family. They serviced the state of Texas with electrical, plumbing, concrete, and FLOORING!

1988

1997
The Petty Family moved back home to Texas where Eddie worked exclusively in flooring installation. Destini & Chase Petty began working with their dad. They would load material, demo floors, mix thinset and eventually master the craft of flooring installation.

2006
On April 26, The Petty Family opened their retail flooring business in Round Rock, Texas- Petty Tile & Carpet where Eddie & Sunni managed the showroom while Destini became the lead flooring installer, and Patti & Chase assisted on weekends. Along with several installation crews & bookkeeper, who have been with the company ever since!
Sunni & Destini’s parents Eddie & Patti Petty moved the family to Seattle, WA where Eddie began his own contracting business. He serviced residential & commercial customers with cabinetry and... you guessed it FLOORING!

Eddie retired & Petty Tile & Carpet became women owned & operated by the Petty sisters!

Petty Tile & Carpet rebranded to better reflect their growth & excitement for the future! The company is now officially Petty Family Floors!
